I was rather unlucky: shortly after I attached my own "love lock" to the Pont des Arts in Paris, France (in June 2015), the authorities removed all the locks from the bridge. While I understand that they caused various issues—ranging from environmental concerns and risks to structural integrity to challenges in urban management—which is why the local authorities had to take them down, I still didn't want my personal memento to be treated that way. That is what motivated us to create this platform.
